Wet magnetic separators are used in iron ore beneficiation plants to separate strongly magnetic minerals. According to the tank structure, they are divided into three types: downstream, countercurrent, and semi-countercurrent. They are also used as concentration equipment before filtration to replace magnetic dehydration tanks. Wet magnetic separators are used for wet magnetic separation of magnetite, pyrrhotite, roasted ore, ilmenite and other materials, and are also used for iron removal operations of coal, non-metallic minerals, building materials and other materials.
CATHAY wet magnetic separator: efficient magnetic separation equipment in slurry environment
1. Wet separation, adapted to slurry state
Designed specifically for magnetic mineral separation in slurry state, when the slurry (concentration 20%-40%) enters the separation chamber, under the synergistic effect of magnetic field force and water flow, magnetic mineral particles are adsorbed to the surface of the cylinder, and rotate with the cylinder to the discharge end to leave the magnetic field and become concentrate; non-magnetic minerals are discharged from the tailings outlet with the slurry. This wet separation method avoids the dust pollution of dry separation, and can handle fine-grained slurry (0.02-3mm), and the capture rate of fine magnetic minerals is 10%-15% higher than that of dry equipment.
2. Strong magnetic drive, high recovery rate and purity
Adopting high-performance NdFeB permanent magnet system, the magnetic field strength can reach 8000-12000 Gauss, which can effectively adsorb weakly magnetic minerals (such as hematite, limonite, etc.). For strongly magnetic minerals such as magnetite, the recovery rate of a single device can reach more than 95%; for weakly magnetic minerals, the recovery rate can also be stabilized at more than 85%, and the concentrate grade is 10-20 percentage points higher than the original ore. Taking magnetite sorting as an example, after being treated by CATHAY wet magnetic separator, the concentrate grade can be increased from 30% to more than 65%.
3. Adaptation to multiple mineral species and wide application scenarios
It can efficiently process magnetic minerals such as magnetite, pyrrhotite, hematite (after magnetization roasting), manganese ore, ilmenite, etc., and has outstanding performance in the fields of ferrous metal ore sorting, metallurgical raw material purification, and non-metallic ore iron removal. Whether it is the roughing and concentrating links of the mine or the tailings recovery of the beneficiation plant, it can operate stably, especially suitable for processing slurry materials with high water content and fine particle size, reducing the cost investment in the dehydration link.
4. Optimized structure, stable and durable operation
The surface of the cylinder is made of wear-resistant rubber or stainless steel, which has excellent corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and the service life is more than 3000 hours. The magnetic system adopts a sealed design to prevent the infiltration of slurry and affect the stability of the magnetic field. The magnetic field attenuation rate is less than 2%/year, and the service life is up to 8-10 years. The frame is welded with high-strength steel and treated with anti-corrosion to adapt to the humid and dusty mineral processing environment to ensure the long-term stable operation of the equipment.
5. Easy operation and flexible parameter adjustment
Equipped with a speed regulating motor, the cylinder speed (0.5-3r/min) can be adjusted by the knob, and the sorting time can be flexibly controlled according to the slurry concentration and particle size. The equipment feed port is equipped with a flow regulating device to accurately control the slurry feed amount to avoid the reduction of sorting effect due to overload. Operators can take up their posts after simple training. Daily operations only need to observe the discharge status of concentrates and tailings, without complex skills, reducing management costs.
6. Low consumption and energy saving, economical operation cost
The driving motor power is only 1.5-3kW, and the energy consumption is lower than that of dry magnetic separation equipment with the same processing capacity. When running at full load, it can save more than 3,000 degrees of electricity per year. The equipment has a simple structure, few wearing parts and is easy to replace. Daily maintenance mainly includes cleaning the cylinder surface and checking the lubrication of the bearings. The annual maintenance cost is only 2%-3% of the total price of the equipment, which effectively controls the production cost.
7. Multiple specifications are available to meet different production capacity requirements
A variety of cylinder diameters (600mm-1800mm) and lengths (1200mm-3000mm) are provided, and the single unit processing capacity covers 1-50 tons/hour, which can be flexibly selected according to the slurry volume and production scale.
