1. Submersible design to achieve leak-free delivery
CATHAY submersible pump adopts a unique submersible structure. The pump body, impeller and motor are partially or completely immersed in the liquid for operation. No additional shaft seal device is required, which fundamentally solves the leakage problem caused by shaft seal wear in traditional centrifugal pumps. Its working principle is based on centrifugal force: the motor drives the impeller to rotate at high speed (speed 1450-2900r/min), and the liquid in the impeller is thrown to the edge of the impeller under the action of centrifugal force, so that a vacuum is formed at the impeller inlet. The liquid is continuously sucked into the impeller under the action of the external atmospheric pressure, and then the kinetic energy of the liquid is converted into pressure energy through the diversion effect of the pump casing to achieve continuous liquid delivery. According to the liquid depth and transportation requirements, the equipment can be divided into long-shaft submersible pumps (the motor is located above the liquid surface and the impeller is driven by the long shaft) and submersible submersible pumps (the motor and the pump body are submerged together) to meet the installation requirements of different working conditions. The flow rate of a single pump can reach 5-1000m³/h, and the head covers 5-100m.

Industrial wastewater treatment: For industrial wastewater containing suspended matter and corrosive substances (such as electroplating wastewater, chemical wastewater, printing and dyeing wastewater), CATHAY submersible pumps are made of corrosion-resistant materials (such as 316 stainless steel, fluoroplastics). Municipal sewage field: Applicable to sewage lifting, sludge return and other links of urban sewage treatment plants. The equipment can transport sewage containing impurities such as silt and fiber. Mining and metallurgy: used for the transportation of ore pulp, tailings slurry, and metallurgical waste liquid. The impeller of the mining submersible pump is made of high-chromium cast iron (Cr26), which has a wear resistance more than 5 times that of ordinary cast iron. It can withstand the erosion of hard particles in the slurry and extend the service life of the equipment. In the metallurgical industry, it can transport acidic waste liquid containing metal ions to help resource recovery and environmental protection.
Agriculture and municipal: suitable for farmland irrigation, urban drainage, river dredging and other scenarios. Small submersible pumps can directly submerge into wells and ponds to extract clean water, and the operating noise is less than 65 decibels; large submersible pumps can cope with urban waterlogging during the flood season, quickly drain the accumulated water, and ensure the normal operation of the city.

Excellent anti-leakage performance: The submersible structure eliminates the hidden danger of shaft seal leakage, and the leakage rate is zero. It is particularly suitable for transporting toxic, harmful, flammable, explosive or precious liquids (such as gasoline, methanol, and pharmaceutical intermediates) to avoid safety accidents and economic losses caused by liquid leakage.
Easy installation and maintenance: no need to build a pump room, it can be directly installed in a liquid pool, storage tank or wellbore, saving more than 30% of civil construction costs; the bearing of the long-axis submersible pump adopts an external lubrication design, which is convenient for regular maintenance; the submersible submersible pump is equipped with an intelligent monitoring system, which can remotely monitor the motor temperature, vibration, leakage and other parameters, and warn of faults in advance, reducing downtime and maintenance time.
Strong anti-cavitation ability: The impeller inlet adopts a special diversion design to reduce liquid flow loss, and the NPSH is 20%-30% lower than that of ordinary centrifugal pumps. In the scene of conveying volatile liquids or large liquid level fluctuations, cavitation is not easy to occur, ensuring the smooth operation of the pump body and extending the service life of the impeller.
Significant energy-saving effect: adopting an efficient hydraulic model design, the matching clearance between the impeller and the pump casing is precisely calculated, and the pump efficiency can reach 75%-90%, which is 10%-15% energy-saving than the traditional submersible pump. Taking a pump with a flow rate of 50m³/h and a head of 30m as an example, the annual electricity saving can reach more than 12,000 degrees.
4. Structural optimization, taking into account durability and safety
Corrosion-resistant material combination: A variety of material options are provided - the shell can be cast iron, 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel, and fluoroplastic; the impeller can be cast iron, high chromium cast iron, copper alloy, and Hastelloy alloy to meet the corrosion resistance requirements of different liquids and ensure that the service life of the pump body reaches 3-8 years (depending on the working conditions).
High-strength motor protection: The motor adopts IP68 protection level and can be immersed in water for a long time. The winding insulation level is F level and can withstand high temperatures of 155℃. It is equipped with overheating, overload, and phase loss protection devices to prevent the motor from being damaged due to abnormal working conditions. The failure rate is less than 2%/year.
Non-clogging design: For liquids containing impurities, the impeller adopts a large channel and swept blade structure, combined with a spacious pump casing flow channel, which can pass solid particles with a particle size of up to 1/3 of the pump diameter (such as stones and fiber bundles with a diameter of 50mm), reduce the risk of clogging, and extend the maintenance cycle to 3-6 months.
