On July 13, CATHAY signed a strategic cooperation agreement with a well-known Australian mining company. The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in mining equipment supply, technical cooperation, after-sales service, etc. According to the agreement, CATHAY will provide 200 sets of mining equipment, including excavators, crushers, transportation equipment, etc., to the Australian company in the next three years. The first batch of 30 equipment was shipped from Qingdao Port on the same day.
The equipment exported this time was specially developed by CATHAY for the Australian iron ore mining environment. Among them, the CATHAY ZE1500 mining excavator is specially designed for hard iron ore layers, equipped with a reinforced bucket and wear-resistant teeth, and its service life is extended by 50% compared with the standard configuration; the CATHAY CR800 crusher adopts multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crushing technology, which can crush the iron ore raw stone to a uniform particle size below 20mm to meet the requirements of subsequent mineral processing technology.
The purchasing director of an Australian mining company said: "We chose CATHAY not only because of its excellent equipment performance, but also because of its perfect overseas service system. CATHAY has established a spare parts warehouse and service center in Perth, Australia, which can provide us with 24-hour rapid response service, which is crucial to ensure the continuous operation of the mine."
The head of CATHAY's International Trade Department introduced that in recent years, CATHAY has accelerated the development of overseas markets, and its products have entered more than 20 countries and regions including Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America. This cooperation with an Australian mining company is an important step for CATHAY to enter the mining equipment market in developed countries, and it is expected to drive the brand's overseas sales to increase by 40% year-on-year.
It is understood that after arriving in Australia, this batch of equipment will be invested in the largest local iron ore project, helping the project to increase its annual mining capacity to 15 million tons. In the future, the two sides will also jointly develop intelligent equipment that adapts to the mining environment in the southern hemisphere and jointly promote the advancement of international mining equipment technology.
